Precision die forging is a die forging process on die forging equipment. For example, the bevel gear of precision die forging, its tooth shape part can be forged directly without cutting again. The dimensional tolerance level of forged parts reaches CT12~CT15, and the surface roughness is Ra3.2~1.6μm.
The process of ordinary precision die forging is roughly as follows: firstly, the original billet is ordinary die forged into an intermediate billet; the intermediate billet is strictly cleaned to remove scale and defects; finally, it is precision forged after anaerobic or less oxidation heating. In order to minimize oxidation and improve the quality of precision forged products, the heating temperature of precision forging is 900~450°C, and the forging temperature is 900~450°C. In order to reduce friction, increase the life of the forging die, and reduce equipment energy consumption, lubricating oil is added to the intermediate blank, thereby reducing equipment energy consumption.
1 When blanking, the quality of the blank must be strictly followed; otherwise, the dimensional error of the forging will be increased and the accuracy will be reduced.
2 Fine cleaning is required on the surface of the blank to remove the scale, decarburization layer and other defects on the surface of the blank.
3 In order to improve the dimensional accuracy of forgings and reduce the surface roughness of forgings, a heating process with no oxidation or less oxidation should be adopted to minimize the oxide layer on the surface of the blank.
4 The forging accuracy of precision die forging largely depends on the processing accuracy of the forging die, so the accuracy of precision forging die cavity is very high. Generally speaking, its precision is two grades higher than that of forgings. The precision forging die must have a guide column and guide sleeve structure to ensure the precision of the die. In order to discharge the gas in the mold, reduce the metal flow resistance, and make the metal fill the cavity better, there should be a vent hole on the die.
5 Good lubrication and cooling of the forging die during the die forging process.
6 Precision die forging generally adopts die forging equipment with high rigidity and high precision, such as crank presses, friction presses, high-speed hammers, etc.
